ISLAMABAD: As top leadership of PML-N (KP) is mulling to move motion of no-confidence in Assembly against Speaker Asad Qaiser, it seems the move isn’t going to be effective due to present membership statistics of PTI lawmakers in the House.

At present, PTI has 60 members out of 124 members in the House members followed by JUI-F (17), PML-N (16), QWP (10), JI (7), PPPP (6), ANP (5) and two independent lawmakers on government benches. One seat of minority lawmaker is lying vacant while support of only two members are required to ruling PTI with 60 seats to claim its majority in the House.

There have been reports about split among the ruling PTI members in past and any disgruntled  group may create problem for the incumbent coalition government in the province.

According to media reports, PML-N in KP is mulling to move motion of no-confidence in KP Assembly against Speaker Asad Qaiser and has started contacting other political parties. PML-N’s parliamentary leader in KP Assembly Aurangzeb Nalotha is reportedly leading this move against Speaker who has approached the High Court Peshawar over western route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Mr. Aurangzeb Nalotha said that Qaiser claimed to approach court along with leaders of other political parties but there was no other leader accompanying him. With prior permission from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif the no-confidence motion would be submitted against the speaker, he said and claimed to get the support of disgruntled PTI leaders .
