Balochistan Assembly-102

ISLAMABAD: The Provincial Assembly of Balochistan suspended its question hour twice during first two sitting of its ongoing 25th session owing non-formulation of new cabinet.

The previous cabinet was dissolved under the agreed terms of power sharing between the PML-N and NP as per Murree Accord after the general elections in 2013. The speaker has also given a ruling during the second sitting to suspend question hour till formulation of new cabinet. The lawmakers raised four points of order complaining about problems being faced by their constituents due to non-formulation of new cabinet.

In the first sitting, JUI-F lawmaker Mufti Gulab Khan Kakar spoke on a point of order and said that numerous posts were filled prior to the election of new Chief Minister which is altogether illegal. He demanded to revert the entire course of said inductions.

PkMAP legislator Syed Liaqat Ali Agha of PkMAP said that bureaucracy has exploited the opportunity and illegally appointed new employees on several posts which should be drawn back immediately. The business of the House floated smoothly during the first two sittings as all other agenda items appearing on the list of business were taken up. However, most of the time during these sittings was consumed on points of order and speeches by members to compliment newly elected Speaker and Leader of the House.
